There wasn’t much about the kid that stood out. His body was inked with the usual ghetto credos: “Get more bitches,” “Fuck all niggas,” and so on. He was just another teenage punk gangster who wanted his name to ring out, to have bitches on standby, and to spend mad stacks of cheddar. The other night, a single gunshot wound stopped the kid, a.k.a., “Deuce Deuce,” from living up his hip hop fantasy.

The homes of several Gomorrah City coppers have been burglarized, their guns stolen. Word from the dicks downtown is that gangsters are following police officers home, conducting surveillance, and breaking into their houses when no one is around. Why are thugs targeting cops? Because they want guns. And cops have guns.

Two male Hispanic gangsters need to put in some work. That’s street vernacular for doing some criminal shit. They decide to hit Alamo Liquor. The shopkeeper is a large Korean woman named Mrs. Kim. Also inside: her 90-something-year-old mother, an unarmed security guard, and a cowering pit bull. Easy money.

The little boy claimed to be 13 years old. He looked more like eight. Maybe he was just underdeveloped. Or maybe he was lying. I asked him if his parents knew where he was. “Yea,” he replied. Bullshit. He was riding in a van full of gangsters.
